Speech Highlights

The amount of advice Toastmasters gives our speaking projects is enormous, even  sprawling. How can we organize the advice and apply it beyond the walls of a Toastmasters club? Three words: motivation (getting people interested in the message), integration (making connections within the speech), and structure (creating an order appropriate for the material). If you understand and apply these three concepts, you can make effective speeches. Participants will work together on exercises for all three concepts. Ideas for how thesee apply outside of Toastmasters speeches will also be discussed. The speaker will draw from his experience in Toastmasters, teaching, and performance to provide useful examples and insights.
